Synopsis

In the middle of a Texas summer, plans for a babysitter fall through and six-year-old Caroline is left in charge of her two younger siblings. Over the course of a sweltering afternoon, Caroline navigates the responsibilities of adulthood with the raw instincts of a child — feeding, comforting, and doing her best to hold things together in a world that expects far too much of her.
