Specific terms governing film submissions to FilmFore
FilmFore Pty Ltd (ABN 49 621 439 281) · Effective: 22.03.2026
These Submission Terms and Filmmaker Agreement ("Submission Terms") govern the submission of films to FilmFore and form a legally binding agreement between you ("Filmmaker", "you") and FilmFore Pty Ltd (ABN 49 621 439 281) ("FilmFore", "we", "us").
These Submission Terms are in addition to FilmFore's general Terms of Service, which also apply to your use of the Platform. In the event of any conflict between these Submission Terms and the Terms of Service on matters relating to film submission, these Submission Terms prevail.
By completing and submitting a film submission on FilmFore, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Submission Terms.
To submit a film to FilmFore, you must:
FilmFore accepts submissions in the following categories:
FilmFore does not accept feature films, rough cuts, works-in-progress, scripts, pitches, or unsolicited proposals.

Payment for the Paid Review tier is processed via Stripe at the time of submission. Your submission will not be activated until payment is confirmed.
FilmFore offers a full refund if your submission is rejected within 48 hours of payment on technical grounds (for example, a broken Vimeo link that cannot be resolved). No refund is available once a reviewer has been assigned to your submission.
Refund requests must be made to [email protected] within 48 hours of the payment confirmation email. Nothing in this clause limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
By submitting a film, you represent and warrant that:
You agree to indemnify FilmFore against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal costs) arising from any breach of these representations and warranties.
By submitting your film, you grant FilmFore a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to: access and view the film for the purpose of evaluation and scoring; share secure access to the film with assigned reviewers; and use metadata, stills, and synopsis for internal evaluation purposes. This licence is granted for the duration of the evaluation process.
If your film is shortlisted and you have opted into public visibility, you grant FilmFore a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to: display your film's public profile page on filmfore.com; show a public embed of your film on your FilmFore profile page; display your film's information to registered Market Partners via the FilmFore marketplace; and use your film's title, poster, and synopsis in FilmFore's marketing materials to promote the Encounters shortlist.
This licence applies only if you select the Channel Exhibition rights option. If you opt in, you grant FilmFore a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to: publish your film on the Encounters YouTube channel and on any FAST streaming channels operated under the Encounters brand; and to monetise your film through advertising on those platforms.
This licence is non-exclusive. You retain all rights to distribute your film elsewhere. FilmFore agrees not to edit or alter your film without your written consent. This licence remains in effect until you notify FilmFore in writing with 30 days notice.
Revenue share: at this stage FilmFore retains advertising revenue generated by channel exhibition. A revenue share model for filmmakers is under development and will be documented in a separate written agreement when available.
For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Submission Terms transfers ownership of your film or any intellectual property rights to FilmFore. All licences granted are non-exclusive. You remain the owner of your film.

You will not receive individual reviewer identities or raw per-reviewer scores.
FilmFore does not guarantee any particular score, shortlist outcome, or commercial result from submission. The evaluation is an independent professional assessment. FilmFore's editorial decisions regarding shortlisting are final.
FilmFore selects 10 to 20 films for the monthly shortlist based on composite scores and editorial judgement. Shortlist selection is at FilmFore's absolute discretion. A high score does not guarantee shortlisting.
Shortlisted filmmakers will be notified by email. Shortlisted films will be published on filmfore.com and made available to Market Partners, subject to the filmmaker's rights settings.
